Learning the hard way from the major accident in my life.
This morning I have had an accident on the road. Luckily, I still survive till now. I just had a left shoulder injury, hence, I am typing here now with my sore painful left hand but I really do not want to stop sharing my ideas that come out into my head after the accident. Hopefully, I still have my right hand is working perfectly fine.
The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity: “Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”
As shown on the quotes from Dalai Lama, it does really happen to me till now. I don’t know when I started to adopt this thought. But, I do believe this is the nature of human kind. People are greedy, lazy, and selfish. Whether you admit it or not, it is 99.99% true. Therefore, most of the advertisement and marketing strategy always based on those three facts of human kind. If you can make a product that makes people’s life easier, faster, and less hustle all together and having a full control over by the touch of a button, your product will be successful.
Can you imagine when people is getting more and more greedy, lazy, and selfish? What will happen? Do you see a good life there in the other side when you have what you want in life, including a lot of money, nice home, great family, and any other things in life ? How about if you lose your health? Do you still enjoy your life?
All of these questions are popping up into my head millions times since this morning till now. Do we really need money in life? The answer is “YES!” Otherwise who will pay your bills and foods? The next questions is Do you want your life is only focusing on money all the time and sacrificing everything including health? The answer is “NO!” But if you think otherwise, please go ahead. I am not here to teach you about what you want to do in life. I am here just want to share my ideas. The next obvious question is what is your goal in life? The answer is “up to you!”
For me personally, I do not want to live my life just for money. I want to have a good life with wonderful people around me. Be aware that a good life doesn’t mean your life has to be perfect. By living every moment in your life and enjoying it as it comes, it is the real truth and goal in life. Some people may or may not agree with my view. However, by enjoying every moment in your life, you’ll find the true happiness as quoted on the holy bible. (Ecclesiastes 5:18–20)
If you’re not Christian/unbeliever, it doesn’t really matter since the truth always holds true for everyone. So, in the nutshell, the lesson that I learned today is to enjoy each and every moment in my life as it comes. I understood that sometimes and most of the time life is sucks and unfair. So, just get used to it. The good news is life is always changing and moving. There is nothing permanent in this world, including your job, your family, your car, your health, your bank account, and most importantly your perception in life. Above all, believe it or not, if you put your focus in life only on making more and more money, you will lose all other good stuffs in life. All in all, The purpose of our lives is to be HAPPY whenever it is possible as Dalai Lama said.
